The KGBK notes the insufficient range of Belarusian electrical goods in the private retail network of Vitebsk
August 13, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. The Vitebsk Regional Committee of State Control notes an insufficient range of domestic electrical goods in the private retail network of Vitebsk. These conclusions were drawn after inspecting 9 retail outlets, the committee informed BELTA.
The results of the assortment study in 8 retail outlets in two shopping centers and 1 store showed that domestic goods are insufficiently represented in the retail network, and in some cases are completely absent. For example, at a retail outlet of one private enterprise, despite a wide range of imported goods, there were no domestic refrigerators, washing machines, or electric kettles for sale, and vacuum cleaners, gas stoves, DVD players, and microwave ovens from Belarusian manufacturers were negligibly represented. Two individual entrepreneurs engaged in the retail sale of microwave ovens, washing machines, vacuum cleaners, electric meat grinders, food processors, televisions, and other complex household appliances had no domestic goods on their shelves. A similar situation was observed at the retail outlet of an individual entrepreneur selling a wide range of watches.
The committee's specialists concluded that the heads of retail organizations, as well as individual entrepreneurs engaged in the retail sale of electrical goods and watches, have not revised their assortment lists this year, making changes or additions in accordance with the list of non-food goods approved by the Ministry of Trade Resolution of January 15, 2009 No. 4 "On Assortment Lists". The Vitebsk City Executive Committee has been informed of the situation. -0-
