The Vitebsk Regional Control Committee has launched a hotline for calls about the unavailability of domestic goods for sale
July 15, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. The Vitebsk Regional Committee for State Control has launched a daily two-hour hotline for calls regarding the saturation of the trade network with goods, primarily from domestic producers, and facts of goods being out of stock, the Vitebsk Regional Committee for State Control informed a BELTA correspondent.
The Department for Control of the Consumer Market and Services of the Vitebsk Regional Committee for State Control constantly monitors the state of the consumer market, compliance with trade rules by business entities, and the service of the rural population by consumer cooperative trade organizations. The latest monitoring results, conducted in June-July in trade facilities in Vitebsk and in the regions, indicate that the availability of commodity stocks in wholesale warehouses, as well as in the retail trade network, allows for uninterrupted trade of basic food products for 20 to 60 days.
At the same time, the survey revealed isolated cases of certain goods being out of stock. According to the Committee for State Control, the reasons for this are the failure of managers of individual trade enterprises and responsible employees of individual trade organizations to fulfill their duties, due to which goods were not delivered from producers to consumers in a timely manner. The Committee for State Control also notes that the control over trade services for the population by some local executive and administrative authorities is also not at the proper level.
Increased demand for some domestic goods (synthetic detergents "Barhim", pasta products "Barimak", tobacco products manufactured by OJSC "Grodno Tobacco Factory "Neman") affects the reduction in the range of these goods. For all identified cases of goods being out of stock and reduction in assortment, prompt response measures were taken at the request of the Committee for State Control. The Committee for State Control recommended that the heads of trade organizations develop a system of departmental control measures for the timely delivery of goods to the trade network.-0-
