The Vitebsk Regional Control Committee notes the uninterrupted supply of vegetable products from stabilization funds to the trade network

April 6, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. The Vitebsk Regional Committee of State Control notes the uninterrupted availability of potatoes and vegetable products from stabilization funds in the region's retail network. This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by the Regional Committee of State Control. In general, across the region, from November 15, 2011, to April 1 of the current year, compared to the corresponding period of the previous season, 3.4 times more potatoes, 4.6 times more cabbage, 4.1 times more carrots, 3.8 times more beets, and 3.2 times more onions were sold from stabilization funds. "The available stocks allow for uninterrupted supply of crop products to the retail network until the end of the season," the committee noted, adding that as of April 1, cabbage stocks exceed last year's by 11 times, potatoes, beets, and carrots by almost 4 times, and onions by 2.6 times. Issues concerning the state of the consumer market and the availability of goods in the retail network are under constant control of the Vitebsk Regional Committee of State Control. In March of this year, control and analytical measures were carried out in 27 retail outlets in Vitebsk, Rossony and Senno districts regarding this issue. The results indicate the availability of a sufficient range of food products for the stable operation of retail outlets and meeting consumer demand. However, there are cases of absence of certain goods or incomplete assortment due to the fault of trade employees. -0-
