The Vitebsk Regional Control Committee proposes to expand the list of organizations that produce land title documents

February 5, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. The Vitebsk Regional Committee of State Control has submitted a proposal to the State Control Committee of Belarus to expand the established list of organizations performing work on the preparation of land plot title documents. This was announced today at a press conference by the First Deputy Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Committee of State Control, Mikhail Agafonov, BELTA correspondent reports. The list can be expanded by including organizations subordinate to local executive and administrative bodies. This is necessary to reduce the timeframes for work completion and accelerate the implementation of important investment projects. For example, in the Vitebsk region, there are about 40 organizations licensed for geodesic and cartographic activities, half of which are state-owned. Currently, the monopolist in the region for performing most of the work related to land plot allocation is the subsidiary enterprise "Vitebskgiprozem Project Institute" of the republican unitary enterprise "Belgiprozem Project Institute". During the inspection by the Committee of State Control, violations of the deadlines for considering more than 2.6 thousand applications from citizens (43%) in the course of land management work were identified. The monopolist ensures super-high profits. In just 9 months of 2009, a profit of Br1.2 billion was obtained from the sale of land management works, with a work volume of Br7.7 billion. In the cost of works performed, labor costs accounted for 72%, while the average monthly salary of the manager reached Br5.8 million, and that of employees - Br1.7 million. -0-
