Kirill Shimko will go to the colony of his own free will

June 6, Minsk /Corr. BELTA/. Belarusian strongman Kirill Shimko will go to Colony No. 3 in the Vitebsk region on June 9 of his own free will. At the correctional facility, he will assess the physical fitness of the prisoners, Kirill told a BELTA correspondent. The prisoners will demonstrate their talents in lifting unconventional weights: logs, stones, suitcases, truck tires, and other equipment used in "Strongman" competitions. It is planned that about 30 prisoners will take part in the competitions in different categories. It is noteworthy that most of the equipment for the exercises was made by the prisoners themselves. Kirill Shimko is not visiting the colony for fun: the athlete would like to influence the convicts, to show by personal example what can be achieved by leading a healthy lifestyle. The Guinness World Records holder and participant of the American "Super Series" tournament of the strongest men on the planet will perform his strongman feats, in particular, he will tear an iron chain, twist a frying pan, and tie nails into knots. Kirill Shimko is a famous Belarusian strongman. Together with his partner Pavel Soroka, he moved a five-car train, and then the athletes pulled an Il-76 aircraft weighing 150 tons for more than three meters. In 2009, he set his most famous record, which was included in the Guinness Book of Records - together with Pavel Soroka, he managed to move a T-34 tank weighing 30 tons 900 kg by 5.1 meters. The record holder also managed to move a 55-ton BelAZ truck on his own in the center of Minsk. -0-
