Китайские язык и боевые искусства учат в одной из школ Витебска

Cui Qiming, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Belarus, visited Secondary School No. 44 in Vitebsk. Chinese is studied at this educational institution. According to its director, Sergey Pitalenko, it attracts more and more students every year.

— About 30 people study Chinese as their primary foreign language, and another 70 attend elective classes. The demand for this subject is constantly growing. Students are interested not only in the language itself but also in the culture of a friendly country, particularly martial arts, — said Sergey Vladimirovich. — The other day, our wushu athletes went to China for competitions, and we expect them back with awards.

The Ambassador was welcomed with bread and salt, given a short tour, and shown concert performances. Mr. Qiming arrived in Vitebsk with his wife and daughter, who also became convinced that all conditions are created in the regional center for successful foreign language studies.

— Cooperation between our countries is expanding. In various fields, we are reliable and mutually beneficial partners, — said Cui Qiming. — It is gratifying that young people in Vitebsk strive to learn Chinese. We are ready to continue providing assistance to Secondary School No. 44, which is a link in the chain of partnership relations between Belarus and China.
