Chinese citizens improved their qualifications at the Vitebsk Technological University

Heads and leading specialists of the Chinese joint-stock company "China National Electric Engineering Co. Ltd" underwent training in the advanced training courses "Occupational Safety and Labor Legislation" at Vitebsk State Technological University.

As Irina Sementchukova, Dean of the Faculty of Advanced Training and Personnel Retraining of VSTU, explained, the Chinese company is involved in the construction of the Vitebsk HPP, therefore, issues of compliance with labor legislation and standards for safe construction work in the Republic of Belarus have become particularly relevant.

As part of the training program, слушатели from the PRC studied the specifics of Belarusian labor legislation, investigation and accounting of industrial accidents, occupational hygiene and industrial sanitation, ensuring electrical and fire safety, and other disciplines. In addition, training at the Vitebsk university allowed for a comparison of the existing occupational safety management systems in Belarus and the PRC. Irina Iuzefovna also noted that Vitebsk State Technological University plans to expand the range of educational programs in the future to continue fruitful cooperation with the Chinese company.
