Keys to new apartments were handed over to residents of a house with electric heating in Beshenkovichi
The new building is a twin of the five-story building standing next to it, which welcomed residents under its roof a year ago, in January 2022. Both buildings have 40 apartments - 20 one-room and 20 two-room apartments. Apartment-based heating and hot water supply are provided by electricity; electric stoves are also installed in the kitchens. In the new five-story building, three apartments were allocated to large families, and one is designated for social housing. The building also has 36 rental apartments, which were received by young specialists in the education sector, employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, police, forestry, prosecutor's office, as well as single mothers and families on the waiting list for housing improvement.
Among the happy recipients of rental apartment keys was Mikhail Tanygin, a rescuer from the Beshenkovichi Emergency Situations Department. The young man has only been working in the town since August; before that, he worked in Miory after completing his master's degree at the University of Civil Protection of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. After Minsk, the district centers of the Vitebsk region seemed too quiet to him, but the longer he stays in Beshenkovichi, the more he embraces the unhurried pace of life here. Now, it's a stone's throw for Mikhail to get to work – just across the road, and there's also a place to go for a walk in the fresh air. In his new one-room apartment, everything is ready for comfortable living – a full turnkey finish, and the necessary furniture is available. The rescuer has even installed a pull-up bar to exercise at his convenience. He admitted that if duty calls, he will go to any corner of Belarus.
The solemn ceremony was attended by the Chairperson of the Beshenkovichi District Executive Committee, Galina Unukovich, and the head of the Vitebsk Oblast parliamentary group, Vladimir Terentyev. They wished the new residents happiness and comfort.
New houses to be built in Beshenkovichi in the future will follow the same model as the already constructed electric houses. In total, in 2022, more than 4.8 thousand sq.m of housing were commissioned in the district.
