"It is shameful to be idle when beauty is being created everywhere." How the Braslav business got involved in the preparations for "Dozhynki"
Braslav, as well as other settlements in the district, are gradually but surely acquiring a more well-groomed and even, if you will, European appearance. "Dozhinki" is clearly benefiting this beautiful place of the republic. Literally every day, new facilities of various purposes appear in the city, old buildings are being improved, and courtyards are being landscaped. By the way, local residents are actively joining the preparation along with builders and utility workers, and private owners are not standing aside from the general transformations. Thrifty individual entrepreneurs have approached the city's landscaping with understanding and hurried to tidy up the areas around their facilities. For some, this was planned annual work, while others were inspired by the preparation for the regional festival of agricultural workers and brought their long-standing projects to life.
The former "Vyasovyy" store looked truly disheartening. With a new owner, the facility, without changing its retail purpose, has also found a new life. The building was bought at auction by LLC "Vakkh-alyans". The benefit of such an acquisition is threefold: entrepreneurs develop their business, residents of the microdistrict get a grocery store within walking distance, and the city gets a well-maintained territory. Construction work is now nearing completion, and the owners promise that the retail facility will open its doors to customers in the coming days. The facade of the building has been completely redone and tiled. The entrance group also looks new, with a volumetric canopy and elements of barrier-free access. Parking spaces have been equipped for transport – for bicycles and a car park for 6 cars, and there is also space for a flower bed. The fence and side walls of the store will gradually be updated here. By the way, near other "Vakkh-alyans" outlets, one of which, for example, is located on Oktyabrya Street, it is also always clean and tidy.
Many, I think, remember how long before the appearance of the "Pena" cafe and the "Poplavok" store, only a foundation was visible on the deserted patch near the KBO. Over time, a whole series of objects appeared here, one of which was built quite recently. Frankly, even at the construction stage, it was not clear how the buildings would look against the background of the overall urban landscape. However, the objects fit in well, especially considering the landscaping of the territory.
Together, the entrepreneurs, Nikolai Gertsev and Maxim Levenkov, after the completion of construction work, took care of the beauty and convenience for the townspeople and guests of Braslav. Now there is a lawn organized and sown, thuja trees have been planted, and lanterns create the atmosphere of a cozy and quiet street. Thus, the proprietorial approach of private individuals determined the unified style and final appearance of the former wasteland.
The landlord of this building, Anton Krasny, had long intended to improve the adjacent territory near the "Ostrov Chistoty" store (and part of the town's land), but he always lacked either funds or strength. The entrepreneur admits: when beauty is being created everywhere, it is shameful to remain inactive, so the long-planned ideas began to be implemented. Just a couple of weeks ago, the sidewalk on this busy section of Sadovaya Street was a sorry sight: broken asphalt and continuous potholes. Now there is a neat tiled path, which not only runs along the store but also descends to the turn towards the city market, a lawn has been planted, and a parking lot with 8 parking spaces has appeared. A. Krasny also plans to renovate the second floor of the building he owns.
The initiatives of other entrepreneurs also do not go unnoticed. The retail outlets of ChUP "ZvezdaArktur", for example, although not in the city center, also stand out with their care for customers and landscaping.
A month-long clean-up campaign is currently underway in the district, and "Dozhinki" is just around the corner, but it is not only for this reason that it is important to maintain beauty and cleanliness: it is primarily necessary for our own comfort, convenience, and pride, we Braslav residents.
