This was announced today by the Chairman of the Committee for Labor, Employment and Social Protection of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Mikhail Leshchinsky at a meeting of the regional board on the results of the first half-year, a BELTA correspondent reports. In general, the positive trend of nominal accrued average monthly wages growth in the region has been maintained for the first half of the year. Compared to the same period last year, the average salary increased by 14%, including in the public sector - by 11.9%, for communal property enterprises - by 15.8%. Interregional differentiation in labor remuneration decreased from 2.05 times in January-June 2009 to 1.91 times in the first half of 2010, and inter-industry differentiation - from 3.14 times to 2.56 times, respectively. The lowest salaries for the six months were recorded in Shumilino, Braslav, Beshenkovichi, Sharkovshchina, and Dubrovno districts, and in terms of sectors of the national economy - among workers in agricultural production, flax processing, consumer services organizations, and self-supporting cultural institutions, the chairman of the committee noted. -0-
