The team from Begoml Forestry won the regional competition "Woodcutter-2019"
The arena for the competition was the grounds of the Obol secondary school, and only one of the stages involved going directly into the forest. There were five stages in total: wood felling, chainsaw chain replacement for time, sawing accuracy, cross-cutting with a combined cut, debranching, and an obstacle course.
The winners were determined in a fierce competition. The best in the individual category were loggers Alexander Smekhovsky from Glubokoye and Alexander Yukovich from Begoml, Dokshitsy district.
The representatives of the Begoml forestry were the first in the team category, having repeatedly taken the top spot on the podium in similar competitions. The second and third places were taken by masters from Rossony and Glubokoye, respectively.
This male craft has long turned into one of the applied sports, with its own standards and strict rules. Such competitions are held all over the world, and there is an international championship where the best masters of the planet are identified. For the second year, the national team of the Ministry of Forestry has held the title of the strongest in Europe. As for the leaders of the regional championship, they have every chance to compete for a place in the renowned star team.
