The Vitebsk region team won the "Minsk Ski Race"

This year, the weather has fully pleased ski marathon enthusiasts, providing them with the opportunity to showcase all their skills on natural snow. The day before, the city's roller ski track in the capital's Vesnyanka microdistrict was even more "wrapped in a white blanket." The weather conditions with a light frost turned out to be ideal for amateur ski competitions. That is why it was crowded here from the very morning. In the warm-up zone, participants of the upcoming starts were actively preparing to enter the course.

The competition began with a 4x2.5 km relay, in which teams from regional executive committees and the Minsk City Executive Committee competed. As a result, representatives of the Vitebsk region demonstrated the best time.

At the final fourth stage, the chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Nikolai Sherstnev, performed for this team. The winners demonstrated a very high result for amateur competitions, covering the distance in 27 minutes and 46 seconds.

"Last year at the 'Minsk Ski Marathon,' our team also took first place, so the task was to maintain our leading positions. We managed to do this because we prepared seriously. The weather in the north of Belarus allowed us to do this well," commented Nikolai Sherstnev on the success of the Vitebsk team immediately after the finish.
