The Vitebsk region team won the republican tourist rally, which took place on September 18-20 at the "Vysokiy Bereg" tourist base in the Stolbtsy district. This was reported to BELTA correspondent by Valentina Maksimenko, Deputy Chairperson of the Republican Tourist and Sports Union. The team from the Minsk region took second place in the competition, and the bronze went to sports tourists representing the Mogilev region. The team from the Gomel region did not participate in the competition, and the Minsk team could not be assembled. In the second group, where 12 district and city teams participated, the Lenin district team from Minsk won first place. Silver went to the team from Borisov, and the third place was awarded to the team from the Molodechno district. In the third group (which, by the way, was the most numerous in terms of the number of teams represented), gold went to the Minsk State Tourist and Ecological Center for Children and Youth, second place to OJSC "Naftan" (Novopolotsk), and third to the Minsk Tractor Works. According to the source, more than 2,000 people took part in the republican tourist rally. "We ourselves did not expect such increased interest in this event.
