The State Control Committee of Belarus will study the work of local authorities in supporting personal subsidiary farms
March 18, Vitebsk / Sergey Kotovets - BELTA /. The State Control Committee of Belarus plans to study the work of local authorities in supporting private subsidiary farms of villagers. This was announced today to journalists by the Chairman of the SCC Zenon Lomats after a direct line with residents of the Vitebsk region, according to a BELTA correspondent.
This issue was raised during the direct line by a resident of the Shumilinsky district, who keeps two cows, a calf, sells milk, and asks for assistance, including in providing livestock with feed. "Local authorities should see such people, constantly help and support them," the head of the control department is confident. At the same time, the initiative should come from rural executive committees, and agricultural enterprises can take over some of the services, including providing private households with grain and feed. Support for private subsidiary farms is a very serious issue, and the SCC plans to thoroughly investigate and analyze the work of local authorities in this direction, emphasized Zenon Lomats.
Summing up the direct line, Zenon Lomats noted the constructive nature of the proposals received from the region's residents. For example, a resident of Disna, Miory district, is concerned about the efficient use of vacant premises in the smallest city in Belarus and has secured the support of the control department in resolving these issues. Vitebsk residents sought help with issues of improving courtyard areas, opening shops, and improving transport links. Problems with the capital repair of housing stock are traditional, and a number of issues concerned the low quality of housing construction.
At the same time, the Chairman of the SCC noted positive transformations in the regional center. "Victory Square is being transformed with particular interest, which, I am sure, will become the most favorite place for citizens to relax in the near future," he believes.
In total, during the direct line, the head of the SCC answered questions from more than 40 residents of the Vitebsk region in 3 hours; over 18.6 thousand attempts to get through were registered. In addition, operators received 100 phone calls. All appeals will be considered and taken under control. In cases where problems can be resolved, this will be done, emphasized Zenon Lomats. -0-
