Vitebsk utility workers are developing the "Courtyards" program for the first time

The "Courtyards" urban program for the improvement of courtyard areas is being developed for the first time in Vitebsk, the head of the housing department of the unitary communal production enterprise "Vitebsk City Housing and Communal Services" Tatyana Sergeeva told a BELTA correspondent. Currently, housing and maintenance departments are assessing the condition of courtyards. According to preliminary data, about 300 sites are to be included in the program. At the first stage, utility services will have to overhaul 12 courtyard areas. Another 62 sites will undergo repairs of playgrounds, landscaping, and the creation of recreation areas. As Tatyana Sergeeva noted, the work will be financed from funds accumulated in the accounts of housing and maintenance departments under the "Technical Maintenance" item. In addition, a charity account has been opened in the city for donations for the improvement of the city. The "Courtyards" program will become part of a large-scale reconstruction of Vitebsk, which includes the improvement of central streets, the creation of leisure infrastructure, and changes in the color and lighting design of the regional center.
