Vitebsk region utility workers are checking the readiness of boiler houses for the final onslaught of winter frosts
February 15, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. Communal services of the Vitebsk region are checking the readiness of boiler houses for the final onslaught of winter frosts, the head of the production and technical department of the housing and communal services department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Anatoly Sudak told a BELTA correspondent.
According to him, in the next two weeks, due to severe frosts, the region's heating facilities will have to work with a double load. Therefore, a planned inspection of their technical condition is currently being carried out at all boiler houses in the region, and reserves of material and technical resources are being reviewed in case of emergency response. Responsibility of officials has been strengthened in all areas, and the readiness of emergency repair services has been increased.
"Overall, all heating facilities are operating normally, are sufficiently supplied with fuel, so there are no objective reasons for concern," believes Anatoly Sudak. At the same time, he did not rule out the possibility of possible local malfunctions. "In this case, we have two mobile boiler houses - in Vitebsk and in the Gluboksky district. If necessary, they will be immediately deployed," the head noted.
As reported by the Vitebsk Regional Center for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring, until the end of the week, up to 15 degrees Celsius below zero are expected during the day in the Vitebsk region, and the night air temperature will drop to 25-30 degrees. Frosty weather will persist next week. -0-
