The real estate complex of the Podsvilsky winery has been sold at auction
The enterprise has been in liquidation since September 2018. The crisis manager is paying off the plant's debts to creditors by selling off its assets.
The lot included about 50 capital structures and engineering infrastructure facilities at the main production site of the enterprise in the town of Podsvilje, Gluboksky district, including a two-story administration building, the main production building, a juice and carbonated drinks workshop, a bar premises, and two shops, and two alcohol storage facilities. The auction was held on the electronic trading platform of RUP "Information Center of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Belarus" torgi.gov.by.
The new owner is currently considering options for the future use of the specialized real estate, which could potentially create about 120 jobs in the future. The money raised at the auction is planned to be used for settlements with the enterprise's employees, as well as for paying off extraordinary payments, noted Vladimir Kandybo.
KUPP "Podsvilsky Winery" was established in 1954 and specialized in the production of fruit and berry wines and alcoholic beverages. Bankruptcy proceedings against the enterprise were initiated in May 2016 upon the debtor's application. In September 2017, the winery was declared economically insolvent, and a rehabilitation procedure was introduced for a period of 18 months. In September 2018, due to the deterioration of key production and financial indicators and the failure to implement the recovery plan, the court decided to terminate the enterprise's rehabilitation, declare it bankrupt, and open liquidation proceedings against the debtor for a period of 12 months, which was extended until January 13, 2020. The register of creditors' claims includes debts totaling over Br11.7 million. After the sale of real estate, the Podsvilsky Winery's assets consist only of movable property, including wine and wine material stocks of about 90 thousand decaliters. As of early November, the enterprise employs 42 people.
