The complex of the Vitebsk Cadet School needs to be developed - A. Kosinets
September 1, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. The Vitebsk Cadet School complex needs to be developed. This opinion was expressed today by the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Kosinets, during his visit to the solemn ceremony on the occasion of the start of the new academic year at the Vitebsk Cadet School, a BELTA correspondent reports.
"The training of any specialist begins at an early age: in kindergarten, then at school, and further - in a vocational education institution or a university. The Vitebsk Cadet School plays a special role in this process, the goal of which is to raise highly moral people, patriots devoted to their Fatherland," the chairman of the regional executive committee emphasized.
At the Vitebsk Cadet School, with the financial support of the regional executive committee, a tennis court, volleyball and basketball courts, a gymnastic town, and a hockey rink have been built. At the initiative of the Belarusian Football Federation, artificial turf was laid on the school stadium in 2008. As part of the presidential program "Children of Belarus," a cultural and recreational center has been built, which includes an assembly hall for 300 seats, a sports hall, a swimming pool, two gyms, and other auxiliary facilities.
Currently, under the State Investment Program, the construction of a dormitory for 200 people with a canteen is planned to begin here. The design and estimate documentation for the facility is ready. Alexander Kosinets instructed to finalize it so that the dormitory is designed for 300 children, which will allow increasing the student intake in the future, as well as to complete the construction of a drill ground for cadets as soon as possible. "Students of this educational institution should pay more attention to physical, drill, and military training, and for this, a parachute tower and a shooting range are also needed," Alexander Kosinets added. Their construction, as instructed by the governor, will be included in the development plan of the school complex.
Congratulating teachers, parents, and cadets on Knowledge Day, Alexander Kosinets emphasized that September 1 is a holiday that is connected with every family. "In the Vitebsk region this year, about 108,000 schoolchildren will sit at desks, including more than 10,000 first-graders. The development of education in Belarus is a priority state task, and serious attention is paid to this issue in the northern region of the country. Thus, Br2.5 trillion, or 26% of the regional budget, has been allocated for the financing of the education system in the current year," the governor noted. -0-
