A complex of buildings in the historical center of Vitebsk will be put up for auction
The auction concerns five capital structures in a block that in the early 19th century belonged to the first administrative district of Vitebsk. Their total area is 2298 sq.m. Two buildings in this complex are architectural monuments of the 19th-20th centuries. The structures are well-preserved and represent a vivid example of "Classicism" style development.
It is planned to sell all real estate objects closer to the end of the year. The process is lengthy, as the assessment of architectural monuments is carried out not in Vitebsk itself, but in Minsk. "When calculating the cost of real estate objects, their location is taken into account. The entire complex of buildings is located in the historical center of the city, where one square meter costs $530. Based on this value, the structures may be sold for $1,218,000. However, the final price of the buildings at Suvorova, 30, may change upwards or downwards," the property department of the Vitebsk City Executive Committee's economy department noted.
The complex of five structures (two administrative buildings and garages) was built in 1917. Until the autumn of 2020, this territory housed the internal affairs department of the administration of the Oktyabrsky District of Vitebsk. Two years ago, law enforcement officers moved from Suvorova Street to Tereshkova Street. Two months ago, the buildings were transferred to the communal property of the city.
