Students and high school students in Vitebsk will work as conductors, salespeople, and security guards this summer
During the summer holidays, students and high school students in Vitebsk are offered work as conductors, salespeople, security guards, janitors, loaders, and kitchen workers, the Vitebsk Oblast Executive Committee's labor, employment, and social protection committee informed a BELTA correspondent.
The city employment service assists young people in finding vacant jobs. The number of vacancies typically increases in the summer. SOOO "Marko" and the Vitebsk Tram and Trolleybus Administration are the most active in hiring high school students and students. In the first case, young people work in temporary retail outlets and summer cafes, while in the second, they learn the basics of the conductor profession.
"Enterprises that hire young students for temporary work compensate for the costs of organizing workplaces from their own funds. The expenses of state organizations are financed from the state off-budget social protection fund for the population," specialists emphasized.
Funds are allocated for the purchase of workwear, equipment, tools, materials, employment record book forms, as well as for salary payments. The education departments of city and district executive committees, universities, colleges, and lyceums are active organizers of temporary employment for young people. They offer schoolchildren and students jobs in improving educational institution grounds, repairing school furniture, and organize teams for interior repairs and sewing soft furnishings.
