The congress event "Innovative Development of the Vitebsk Region" will be held on November 27

Organizers: State Committee on Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus, Committee for Economy of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, State Institution "Administration of the Vitebsk Free Economic Zone", KUKUP "Vitebsk Regional Marketing Center", Vitebsk Regional Union of Employers.
Objectives of the Congress Event: integration of science, education and business, promotion of scientific and technical developments for their implementation and commercialization, stimulation of innovative activity of organizations in all sectors and regions.
To promote scientific and technical developments and foster the innovative development of regions, a business contact exchange "Promising Scientific and Technical Developments and Innovative Development of Regions" has been organized as part of the congress event.
The Program of the Congress Event includes:
– a plenary session with a speech by the Chairman of the State Committee on Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus, A.G. Shumilin, the leadership of the Vitebsk region, the Belarusian Innovation Fund, the National Center of Intellectual Property, etc.;
– an exhibition of innovative developments and innovative products offered for implementation in the region's enterprises;
– a business contact exchange in the format of presenting selected innovative developments with high potential for commercialization and implementation in the region's enterprises;
– work of sections: "Innovative Development of Regions", "Free Economic Zones as a Basis for Increasing the Innovative and Investment Activity of Economic Entities", "Clusters as a Factor of Innovative Development".
Significant attention will be paid to the current state of development of cluster initiatives in the Republic of Belarus, and innovative industrial clusters of the Vitebsk region will be presented.
Based on the results, cooperation agreements and protocols are planned to be concluded.
In order for scientists' developments to be not just good, but also in-demand works, science and business have come to understand the need for interaction. Today, education prioritizes not science in its pure form, but the ability to create developments for solving specific problems with their further monetization.
Considering the specifics of the region's enterprises – the Vitebsk region has a developed chemical industry, mechanical engineering sector, and agriculture – developments of scientific organizations will be presented primarily in these areas. Great attention is paid to the environmental sphere: waste recycling, energy-efficient technologies.
