A competition for investment projects among entrepreneurs to provide state support has been announced in the Vitebsk region

A competition of investment projects of small business entities for state support has been announced in the Vitebsk region, Valentin Tsvetkov, head of the entrepreneurship development and consumer market department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee's economics committee, told a BELTA correspondent. Its winners will be provided with financial support for the purchase of equipment, special devices and appliances, the purchase of component parts, raw materials and materials for their own production. Financial support is provided in the form of subsidies to reimburse part of the interest on bank loans, and subsidies to reimburse expenses for lease payments under lease agreements. Applications and necessary documents are accepted until September 15. When summing up the results of the competition, priority will be given to projects that involve the creation, development and expansion of the production of goods and services, the organization and development of export-oriented, import-substituting products, the production of energy- and resource-saving products, the introduction of new technologies, and the creation of new jobs. The source of funding is the regional budget funds provided for in the state program for the support of small entrepreneurship in the Vitebsk region for 2010-2012.
