A constructive conversation took place during the field meeting of the Presidium of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus in the Vitebsk region

Issues related to production modernization, dairy farm reconstruction, innovation implementation, and investment attraction are currently under the control of the Head of State. The President constantly emphasizes that economic renewal, increased science and energy intensity, and the development of rural regions are essential. That is precisely why farms with milking parlors and milk pipelines, utilizing the latest technologies and reducing the human factor, are emerging in the country, and high-tech equipment is being installed at enterprises to enhance product quality and competitiveness. The goal of this campaign is clear: to improve the well-being of citizens and transition the country as a whole to a higher level of development.

The implementation of these tasks in the Vitebsk region was the subject of an on-site meeting of the Presidium of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus. The working group, led by Prime Minister Mikhail Myasnikovich, inquired about the achievements and problematic issues in small towns, as well as the fulfillment of the President's instructions regarding the development of innovative production and modernization, fodder procurement, and dairy farm reconstruction.

Members of the Presidium visited the scientific and production enterprise "Belkotlomash" in Beshenkovichsky district, a significant portion of whose production consists of boilers running on local fuels. The new welding heat-pipe unit was impressive, and another robotic complex will undergo testing in the coming days. Furthermore, a joint Belarusian-Italian production is planned, aimed at import substitution of boilers running on local fuels with a capacity of over 4 MW. Incidentally, the Vitebsk region leads the country in the growth rate of local fuel utilization. Mikhail Myasnikovich noted that an enterprise with such a development strategy should be present in every district. In general, the Prime Minister was interested in the issues of attracting investors and retaining labor resources in the region. As for Beshenkovichi, two major projects are already being implemented this year under Presidential Decree No. 6, and the local vocational-technical educational institution, housing construction, and decent wages offered by enterprises like "Belkotlomash" contribute to solving the personnel problem.

The reconstruction of dairy farms in the Vitebsk region was discussed during a visit to OJSC "Chernogostye" in Beshenkovichsky district. Mikhail Vladimirovich recalled that in 2011, the President set the task of reconstructing 228 dairy farms in the Dvina region. The Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Kosinets, assured that the task would be completed. Moreover, the new complexes will continue to be developed and expanded. However, it is important not to forget about the repayment of credit resources spent on project implementation, the Prime Minister emphasized.

The Council of Ministers and the leadership of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee are concerned about the fate of one of the oldest enterprises in the region – OJSC "KIM". Should it be included in a holding company with the Zhodino-based "Svetankam" or should it be helped to upgrade its material and technical base, which would enable it to produce competitive products? The enterprise is ready to improve, but this requires considerable funds. OJSC "KIM" counts on the understanding of the authorities.

The results of the field meeting of the Presidium of the Council of Ministers were summarized at a meeting in the regional executive committee.
