This was stated today at a press conference by the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Kosinets, as reported by a BELTA correspondent. The development of innovative technologies is the key to a successful economy. However, the creation of a high-quality innovative product is impossible without the active work of design thought, the governor believes. To stimulate the work of designers, competitions will be held twice a year in the region, based on the results of which the developers of the best innovations will be awarded. Enterprises and entire sectors of the real economy of the Vitebsk region are systematically working to improve the quality of goods, works, and services in order to increase exports, create competitive products, introduce science-intensive progressive technologies into industrial production, improve the environment, and save material and energy resources. The ISO 9001 quality management system has been implemented at 219 enterprises in the region, the STB ISO 14001 environmental management system at 17, and the STB 18001 occupational health and safety management system at 43 enterprises. Active work to improve product quality is carried out by enterprises producing food products. 30 enterprises have received conformity certificates for the HACCP-based food quality and safety management system. Two enterprises (OJSC "Vitebsk Meat Processing Plant" and OJSC "Verkhnedvinsk Butter and Cheese Factory") have received conformity certificates for the food safety management system in accordance with the requirements of STB ISO 22000. 4 enterprises have the right to mark their products with the "Natural Product" sign (OJSC "Moloko", OJSC "Lepel Condensed Milk Plant", OJSC "Glubokoye Condensed Milk Plant", OJSC "Orsha Dairy Plant"). In addition, 6 enterprises in the region have received the right to mark products with the CE mark: CJSC "Medical Enterprise "SIMURG", OJSC "Expanded Clay Gravel Plant", RUPP "Vitebsk Radio Component Plant "Monolit", RUPP "Stankozavod "Krasny Borets", RUPP "Vityaz", LLC "PO "Energokomplekt". 15 forestry enterprises have been certified in the National Forest Management and Forest Use System, 3 forestry enterprises - in the international FSC certification system. Enterprises actively participate in quality competitions. -0-
