The "Display" Design Bureau has started producing protective screens for medical workers
Last week, specialists produced several prototypes. They were given to Vitebsk medical professionals for testing. After receiving feedback from healthcare workers, the design was finalized and production began. "Our equipment allows us to produce 150 shields per day. We have the materials, which we use in our main production. However, the demand for shields from medical institutions is growing, so we will purchase additional raw materials," noted Sergey Shcheglov, Deputy Chief Engineer of the enterprise.
Currently, two laser cutting machines are involved in the production of the screens. The fastening elements are made of plexiglass, and the screen itself is manufactured using laser cutting technology. The enterprise plans to submit documents for product certification to the Ministry of Health. "We are working on this issue to resolve it as quickly as possible," added the specialist.
In Vitebsk, various companies with laser cutting machines and 3D printers have begun developing protective shields. Private firms are delivering these screens to the city's medical institutions free of charge.
