Contracts worth nearly $350 million were signed during the investment forum in Vitebsk

Contracts totaling about $350 million were signed at the international business forum "Investment Initiatives of the Vitebsk Region", which concluded on March 20. This was announced today to journalists by the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Kosinets, during a working tour of the regional center, BELTA correspondent reports. In his opinion, investment forums provide a good opportunity to get acquainted with the economic potential of the regions. "Investors still know very little about the Vitebsk region," the governor added. The Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee intends to hold another business forum in September of this year. Representatives of business circles and diplomatic missions from almost 20 countries took part in the concluded forum. 44 agreements and contracts were signed by district and city executive committees, enterprises and organizations of the region. According to Alexander Kosinets, potential investors have also begun to study the possibilities of organizing joint ventures with several machine-building enterprises. -0-
