The "cosmic" Space concert began the countdown to the launch of the "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" rocket
July 7, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA/. The Space band and its leader Didier Marouani announced the pre-start readiness of the XX International Festival "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk". The countdown to the festival's start began with a concert by the "cosmic" musicians, reports BELTA correspondent.
Serious preparations were underway for the concert. The band conducted not only musical but also technical rehearsals – electronic music requires special effects. And there were plenty of them at the concert: laser beams repeatedly pierced the auditorium from the stage, the stage itself resembled a flying saucer more than a concert venue. And Didier Marouani, in his jacket with flashing lights and some device on his head that emitted laser beams, looked very much like a Martian.
However, the most important thing that night in the Summer Amphitheatre was Marouani's "cosmic" music. He performed old compositions and new ones from his latest album "From Earth to Mars," interacted lively with the audience, and they responded in kind, not sparing applause, shouts of "bravo," and flowers. "We tour Russia extensively, we were in Minsk a few years ago, we were warmly welcomed everywhere, but you are the best audience," said Didier Marouani, addressing the Vitebsk spectators after another ovation.
According to the festival organizers, Didier Marouani immediately accepted the invitation to participate in the "Slavianski Bazaar." The composer did not need to be explained what the festival was; he was well aware not only of the arts festival itself but also of the technical capabilities of the stage.
The XX International Festival of Arts "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" will be held from July 8 to 14. However, festival guests began giving their first concerts a few days before the official opening.-0-
