The opening concert of the "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" will be dedicated to the Year of the Small Motherland

The opening concert of the XXVII International Festival of Arts "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" will be dedicated to the Year of Small Motherland. This was reported by BELTA, citing the chief director of the festival's opening gala concert, Deputy General Director of the Vitebsk Culture Center, Marina Romanovskaya.

In her opinion, this is a very beautiful theme that cannot but touch everyone, and it inspired the creation of a program called "The House Where You Are Always Welcome." In addition, this year the amphitheater itself turns 30 years old.
– We draw a parallel: the small motherland as a whole and the amphitheater as a creative home for a large number of artists, many of whom "Slavianski Bazaar" paved the way to their calling, opened the path to the world of art, to the world of song, – said Marina Romanovskaya.

The opening concert promises to be extraordinarily rich and interesting. It will feature both "newcomers" to "Slavianski Bazaar" and old friends of the festival. Among the artists are stars from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, and other countries. The performance of five orchestras will be very colorful – this will happen for the first time at the festival. Spectators will have a meeting with the state orchestra conducted by Mikhail Finberg, the orchestra of Emir Kusturica and Goran Bregović, the orchestra of People's Artist of Russia Oleg Menshikov, and the "Vivaldi Orchestra" conducted by Svetlana Bezrodnaya.

The closing concert "Three Minutes of Musical Summer" will also support the theme of the Year of Small Motherland, said the chief director of the festival's closing gala concert, Alexander Vavilov.

According to him, the Summer Amphitheater is a place where the destinies of many artists were made, who to this day come to Vitebsk to immerse themselves in this atmosphere of three minutes – usually how long a song lasts – of musical summer.

The XXVII International Festival of Arts "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" will be held from July 12 to 16. Additional events are planned for July 7-11 and July 17-18.
