Концерт «Пасхальный благовест» продолжил пасхальные празднования в Витебске
The concert "Easter Chime," organized within the framework of the cooperation agreement between the Belarusian Orthodox Church and the Republican Public Association "Belaya Rus," continued the Easter celebrations in the northern region.

Vitebsk audiences were invited to get acquainted with the creative work of Novopolotsk residents. A thematic exhibition, with exhibits created in educational institutions of the oil city, was organized in the foyer of the regional philharmonic hall. On the main stage, leading creative groups from Novopolotsk impressed with their artistry, including the song theater "Subbotea" and the folk women's chamber choir of the cultural center, the folk instrument ensemble "Zhаrt" of the Children's Art School No. 1, the folk song choir "Rechan'ka" of the music college, and the Honored Amateur Ensemble "Komariki" named after Ch. Klechko of the "Naftan" Palace of Culture.

A welcoming address from Archbishop Dmitry of Vitebsk and Orsha was read by the press secretary of the diocesan administration, Archpriest Andrey Smolsky.

– Today, the entire Christian world rejoices and triumphs, proclaiming to the world the good news of Christ the Life-Giver, our Savior, the victor over death, – the message stated. – The great mystery of the resurrection cannot be comprehended by the mind; it can only be grasped with the help of God's grace through fasting, prayer, confession, and participation in the mysteries of Christ.

Clergy urged to perform acts of love, and the Lord will see our desires and efforts – and will instill love in our hearts.

– The state, together with the Belarusian Orthodox Church, is carrying out systematic work to strengthen spiritual and moral values and preserve the historical and cultural relics of our people, – emphasized Dmitry Demidov, Chairman of the Regional Council of Deputies and the regional organization of the RPO "Belaya Rus." – Our common cause is the upbringing of youth in the spirit of patriotism and Christian values of mercy, goodness, justice, and sacrifice.

Dmitry Demidov noted that the Easter celebrations are held on the eve of Victory Day. And if Easter is the greatest spiritual holiday, then May 9 is an equally great civic holiday. Their symbolic harmony lies in the fact that the saviors sacrificed themselves for the sake of human life.
