A grand piano will be purchased for the 100th anniversary of the Sollertinsky College in Vitebsk

According to him, the issue of allocating funds for the purchase of a concert grand piano will be considered in the near future at a regular session of the Regional Council of Deputies. "By the 100th anniversary, which the college will celebrate in December, the instrument will adorn this educational institution, and playing it will bring true pleasure to teachers and students. This will be a worthy gift for the holiday," Vladimir Terentyev is convinced.

The head of the region's deputy corps also noted that together with the regional education department, the issue of allocating a dormitory for the I.I. Sollertinsky Music College and the Vitebsk State College of Culture and Arts is being worked out. It is planned that this will be a fully ready-to-move-in facility of one of the city's secondary vocational schools, freed up as a result of optimization of the educational institution network. This issue is planned to be resolved by the beginning of the new academic year.

At the concert, Vladimir Terentyev presented awards to the winners of the final stages of international, republican, and regional creative competitions and Olympiads in professional skills subjects. This year, the main award among students of the region's secondary vocational schools was given to Arseniy Vitko, Alexandra Palkina, Yuri Shablovsky, and Denis Yaskevich from the I.I. Sollertinsky College, as well as Vladislav Vinskovich and Evgeny Litvin from the Novopolotsk State Music College.

"We constantly hear about young people who have achieved significant results at the republican subject olympiads and major sports competitions. However, it is very important to recognize the achievements of our creative youth as well," emphasized Vladimir Terentyev. He noted that this work is carried out systematically. Since 2013, the Vitebsk Regional Council of Deputies has been awarding prizes to the best 16 representatives of creative youth from secondary vocational education institutions and institutions implementing educational programs for additional education of children and youth in the field of culture with the study of subjects and disciplines at an advanced level. During this time, 80 young people have been recognized. "We have something to be proud of. We have very talented youth who need to be supported. Over the past five years, about 500 of our children, many of them repeatedly, have become winners of various republican and international competitions," added Vladimir Terentyev.
