The order on this was signed by the Chairman of the Vitebsk City Executive Committee. The "Vitebskgrazhdanproekt" institute has been instructed to prepare the working documentation, and the utility enterprise "Vitebsk Capital Construction" will commence the first phase of repair and construction work. The work will include the reconstruction of the large hall and its approaches, the replacement of stage design and equipment, and the installation of a new air conditioning system. Br500 million has been allocated from the city budget for the start of the reconstruction. It is planned that the first phase of work will be completed by the jubilee XX International Festival of Arts "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" - by July 2011. The Vitebsk Concert Hall is a branch of the Vitebsk Culture Center. It is located in a beautiful place - on the high bank of the Vitebsk River in Frunze Park. The auditorium is designed for 1150 seats, including boxes and stalls. The dance hall is designed for 300 people. -0-
