Korea is interested in developing cooperation with Belarus in the field of secondary resource processing
The Republic of Korea is interested in developing cooperation with Belarus in the field of secondary resource processing. This was stated today at a meeting with the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Alexander Kosinets by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to Belarus Lee Yun Su, BELTA correspondent reports.
According to the diplomat, promising areas for cooperation also include agriculture, light industry, and other spheres. At the same time, the ambassador considers the Vitebsk region one of the most promising regions for developing relations. He noted that the region has a favorable geographical location, well-developed industry, and is also a cultural center of Belarus.
The Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee also expressed confidence in the possibilities for a broader increase in mutual trade turnover of the region's enterprises with Korea. Thus, in 2008 alone, it amounted to $5.2 million, an increase of almost 2.5 times since 2005. Export deliveries increased threefold during this period, and imports almost doubled. "We are interested in implementing joint projects in any field," emphasized Alexander Kosinets.-0-
