November 17, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. A motorcade of traffic police cars and bikers will remind Vitebsk residents today about children killed in road accidents, the agitation and propaganda department of the traffic police department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee's Internal Affairs Directorate told a BELTA correspondent. The event, dedicated to the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims, will begin at Gymnasium No. 8, whose student died in an accident last year. Together with traffic police officers and members of the city biker club "Road Hounds," schoolchildren will recall the importance of observing traffic rules, their main provisions, and share their opinions on this topic. After the discussion, the children will decorate the motorcade of traffic police cars and bikers' motorcycles with toys and posters they brought, calling on drivers to be careful, and then, together with the organizers, will drive around Vitebsk in a circle of remembrance. Thus, the participants will remind drivers and pedestrians of the tragic consequences of irresponsible behavior on the roads. The final destination of the motorcade will be the burial site of the deceased girl. Together with teachers, the students will honor her memory and leave toys.
