Kosinetz gave farm managers 48 hours to rectify the identified cases of mismanagement
Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Alexander Kosinets demanded that the identified cases of mismanagement in the region's farms be eliminated within 48 hours. He announced this today at a coordination meeting on combating crime and corruption, dedicated to the implementation of the requirements of Directive No. 3 "Economy and thrift are the main factors of state economic security" and the decree "On declaring 2013 the Year of Thrift," a BELTA correspondent reports.
The governor was informed about numerous facts of mismanagement at AIC facilities, identified during the monitoring, by the prosecutor of the Vitebsk region Gennady Dysko. As examples, he cited cases of improper storage of grain, agricultural machinery, mineral and potash fertilizers, and other incidents recorded in Dubrovensky, Tolochinsky, Postavsky, Chashniksky, Rossony, and other districts of the region.
According to Alexander Kosinets, the sources of this situation lie primarily in the lack of control by officials, as well as in the mismanagement of workers. "We talk about saving, fostering thrift... But what is happening? What kind of efficiency can we talk about? Meanwhile, eliminating these violations does not require large economic costs," the governor emphasized, demanding that they be corrected within 48 hours. He instructed that the harshest measures be applied to farm managers who treat this work irresponsibly.
In addition, the chairman of the regional executive committee instructed that the egregious facts of mismanagement be widely covered in district newspapers.
"Today's meeting is timely and relevant in terms of raising problematic issues, summarizing the effectiveness of the work done, and setting tasks for the future. Law enforcement agencies have done a tremendous job in implementing Directive No. 3. Meanwhile, all citizens should participate more actively in the implementation of this document and fully realize its significance," Alexander Kosinets concluded.
