The Kokhanovo Agricultural Production Lyceum has organized training for truck crane operators for the first time
The profession of a truck crane operator is one of the most in-demand and indispensable today, as a wide variety of lifting equipment is used at construction sites and industrial enterprises. Having analyzed the demand for relevant specialists, the lyceum has created a theoretical and material base for training in the new specialty and announced enrollment for the 2019-2020 academic year. A modern truck crane was purchased at the company "Vitebskie Podemniki" with its own funds. One of the groups, formed from 9th-grade graduates, will master this popular specialty.
In addition, according to the lyceum director Vladimir Retsky, a training program is currently being developed to open another new specialty – road worker. The request for specialists of this profile came directly from employers. There are three road construction organizations operating in the Tolochin District that are experiencing a shortage of personnel. Training programs for the new specialty have already been created. It remains to purchase a roller, a grader, and other types of special equipment, and vocational guidance for applicants can be conducted.
By the way, at one time it was the heads of road construction enterprises who suggested the idea of retraining excavator operators at the educational institution to the lyceum administration. Today, this specialty is in high demand.
In total, based on the results of the 2019 admission campaign, the lyceum plans to admit 77 students to full-time education, of which more than 80% are through targeted referrals from organizations.
