A large dairy farm was opened in the Vitebsk region

The "Yanovichy" dairy complex for 1440 head of dairy herd has been commissioned in the Vitebsk region.

The solemn opening ceremony of the new facility of the Vitebsk Broiler Poultry Farm was attended by the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Nikolai Sherstnev, the President's Aide - Inspector for the Vitebsk Region Anatoly Linevich, the Chairman of the Vitebsk District Executive Committee Gennady Sabinich, the management and staff of the enterprise, and distinguished guests.

The "Yanovichy" dairy complex includes separate buildings for keeping dairy cows, young stock and heifers, calves, a milking and milk processing unit, and a maternity ward, a filtration and drying unit for a continuous organic drying cycle with subsequent use as bedding material, and 14 trenches for silage and haylage storage, each with a capacity of 2.5 thousand tons. This ensures the technology for year-round uniform milk production. Once the complex reaches full capacity, the milk yield per cow is expected to be around 10,000 kg per year, with an annual milk production of 14.4 thousand tons per year.

56 jobs will be created here. To provide housing for employees, it is planned to lay the foundation for the construction of a 24-apartment building in March.

The complex was built in eighteen months. "And we commissioned it a whole quarter ahead of schedule. Since January 8, "Yanovichy" has been operating in a start-up and adjustment mode. During this time, all systems have been tested, and acceptance certificates have been signed," emphasized Anna Norkus, General Director of JSC "Vitebsk Broiler Poultry Farm," at the festive ceremony. She also noted that the facilities launched by the poultry farm last year are showing excellent performance results and expressed hope that this complex will also demonstrate its effectiveness in the near future.

The Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Nikolai Sherstnev, focused on the diversified activities of the poultry farm. In his opinion, this is the right approach. "You are forming a modern diversified production. Moreover, each direction brings its own profit, and together it results in serious revenue. You must continue to build this technology," the governor said. "The enterprise has 17 thousand hectares of arable land, 25 thousand hectares of agricultural land. And this is not the limit." The head of the region also announced the tasks that the poultry farm will have to implement in the near future: to obtain 100 thousand tons of grain and to achieve a daily milk yield of 100 tons. The management of the enterprise is capable of handling them, Nikolai Sherstnev is convinced.
