A large transport and logistics complex will be built near Orsha

An agreement on cooperation for the construction of a transport and logistics complex near Orsha was signed between IPL Complex LLC, a resident of the Vitebsk FEZ, and the Chinese company Sinohydro Bureau 4 CO., Ltd, as well as the Qinghai province branch of China Development Bank.

The official ceremony took place during the Chinese-Belarusian forum on trade and economic cooperation with the participation of a delegation from official and business circles of Qinghai province. As reported by the FEZ administration, Chinese partners showed interest in the construction of what could potentially be one of the largest logistics complexes, which is planned to be created on the basis of Orsha Aircraft Repair Plant OJSC. By the way, the project presentation for Chinese investors was held at the interregional business forum during the state visit of PRC Chairman Xi Jinping to Belarus in May.

At this stage, the domestic operator of the project, being implemented in the Vitebsk FEZ, is interested in attracting foreign partners and offers investment opportunities for participation in several initiatives within the framework of the Orsha Industrial Industrial and Logistics Park. These include the development of warehouse real estate (involving the construction of 15 warehouse modules, as well as a life support zone and an administrative center), the reconstruction of the existing runway to create an international-class airport, the organization of production facilities of various levels, and the construction of a power unit for the energy and heat supply of the logistics complex itself, the aircraft repair plant, and nearby enterprises. In the future, the total area of the Orsha Industrial and Logistics Park may reach up to 100 hectares, and the concept of its development is designed for several decades.
