A cultural and educational center will be created at a school in the Chashniki district
The lot includes three buildings, including two specialized school buildings and a boiler room, with a total area of almost 4.9 thousand sq.m, located in the agro-town of Chereya. Three buyers showed interest in the complex, which was put up for auction for the 6th time. The winner was determined at the 58th step of the auctioneer, when the sale price exceeded the starting price by approximately 250 times.
According to a representative of the organization that won the auction, the property is planned to be modernized and converted into a cultural and educational center for the implementation of a socio-cultural project aimed at developing the Chashniki district. It is expected that the center will host various cultural and educational events, and will become a platform for the implementation of diverse creative projects, including those related to the international festival Sprava, organized by the socio-cultural institution.
Also, based on the results of the auction held by the Vitebsk Regional Property Committee, the former hotel building in the urban settlement of Shumilino was sold for over Br11.7 thousand. The new owner of the one-story wooden building with an area of 134 sq.m is an individual entrepreneur from the district center. The representative of the small business intends to reconstruct the building into a complex for providing veterinary services, which will include a veterinary clinic and a specialized retail outlet.
In total, since the beginning of the year, the Vitebsk Regional Property Committee has sold republican and communal property objects at auctions for over Br2.8 million, which is almost 26% more than in January-November 2018.
In December, more than 100 lots will be put up for auction by the State Property Committee of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, including the former health resort "Berezka" in the Vitebsk region, the automatic telephone exchange building in Vitebsk, and a number of other social and industrial facilities, which will be sold for the first time.
