Cultural and educational projects will strengthen cooperation between Italy and the Glubokoye district. This was stated by the commercial advisor of the Italian Embassy in Belarus, Ugo Boni, in response to a question from a correspondent of BELTA at a meeting with the district leadership and media representatives.

"Today's meeting is the first step towards further cooperation. We can hold an Italian film festival here; we have already implemented such a project in Minsk and want to repeat it in the regions. There are several modern Italian films with Russian subtitles, and they may be of interest to the residents of Glubokoye," said the diplomat. He noted that in Belarus, Italian films made several decades ago are still better known, "but there is modern cinema that deserves the attention of the Belarusian viewer."

Ugo Boni also proposed bringing a photo exhibition to the district center that tells about the earthquake that occurred in Italy several years ago. "This exhibition is already traveling around Belarus; now it is in Pruzhany," the diplomat said.

The embassy representative considers student exchange to be another promising area of cooperation. "We need to think about how to implement this so that 10-15 students from Italy visit Glubokoye and the same number of students from this district study in Rome for some time," Ugo Boni shared his idea.

The Italian delegation visited the Glubokoye district today as part of the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The guests took part in rallies at the burial sites of Italian citizens in the village of Orekhovno and the Borok tract.
