Polotsk State University Launches Business Belarusian Language Courses
Polotsk State University offers everyone who wishes to improve their native language proficiency. Starting April 1, the university will launch special training courses titled "Business Belarusian Language".
These courses, as explained by PGU instructor Svetlana Lesovich, are primarily designed for individuals working with documentation who are professionally obligated to be proficient in both state languages. For instance, when writing references, HR department employees may be unsure how surnames are declined in Belarusian. Sometimes, a manager might wish to greet foreign guests in Belarusian but lacks the knowledge to construct their speech correctly. The new spelling rules and fundamentals of oral communication can be studied during the 16-week courses. Organizers promise to accommodate all participant requests and production needs.
