A laboratory for young journalists and bloggers has opened at the media center of the Vitebsk region
The media laboratory includes five locations. Three of them are designed for shooting photo and video content, and for conducting live broadcasts and streams. A separate zone is allocated for master classes and masterminds.
The importance of the media laboratory for the development of journalism in the region was emphasized by the Minister of Information of Belarus, Vladimir Pertsov:
– Frankly, I don't recall seeing such a format of laboratories anywhere outside of educational institutions, universities that train relevant specialists. The media laboratory is useful and, undoubtedly, interesting for novice journalists taking their first steps in this challenging profession. It has the necessary lighting equipment, microphones, and areas with locations where you can record stand-ups, walk-throughs, and trendy techniques that have come to us from the blogosphere…
The minister wished young people interested in journalism the most important thing – to become passionately devoted to this profession. Vladimir Pertsov separately highly praised the Vitebsk Region Media Center:
– All the events we hold here are always ten out of ten! In this, I primarily see the important role of the governor, who pays great personal attention to this work, understands its importance and value, especially in this acute political and historical period.
The media laboratory will become an important career guidance, educational, and practice-oriented platform for young people in the Vitebsk region who are interested in journalism and the blogosphere, is convinced Marina Novitskaya, Head of the Main Department of Ideological Work and Youth Affairs of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee. Addressing, among others, the young journalists and bloggers of the northern region, who also became participants in the event, Marina Vladimirovna stated:
– A lot of soul has been invested in this media laboratory for youth. Here and now, we have with us young people who dream of becoming journalists, and some, engaged in such a format of journalism as blogging, already consider themselves to be so. But to succeed in their field, it is necessary to learn. The new platform that we are presenting today is an opportunity to develop your talents in various directions, to talk about what sets trends in our Republic of Belarus. Together, with good mentors, with the support of the regional executive committee, and the newspaper "Vitebskiye Vesti," I am sure we will take another step forward in the development of media in our region.
