Latvia and Lithuania extended the deadlines for border crossing restrictions

In Lithuania, the established quarantine period has been extended until 24:00 on May 31 of the current year, and in Latvia, the state of emergency has been extended until June 9. All previously established restrictions in the Republic of Latvia remain in force, reported the official representative of the Polotsk Border Guard Detachment, Lieutenant Colonel Denis Glebko.

At the Belarusian-Lithuanian border, in the simplified checkpoint "Tverechus" ("Vidzy" from the Belarusian side), the processing of persons and vehicles is still not carried out.

At the Belarusian-Latvian border, the simplified checkpoints "Meikshani" (from the Belarusian side "Gavrilino"), "Kaplava" ("Plyusy"), "Piedruja" ("Druya"), as well as the international railway checkpoint "Indra" ("Bigosovo") at the Bigosovo station for passenger traffic are closed.

The possibility of crossing the Latvian-Belarusian section of the border is limited to the checkpoints "Paternieki" (from the Belarusian side "Grigorovshchina", Verkhnedvinsky district) and "Silene" ("Urbany", Braslavsky district).
