A Latvian investor will build a health resort complex in the Braslav district for $50 million.

October 16, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. A Latvian investor will build a health resort complex worth $50 million in the Braslav district, the deputy chairperson of the Braslav District Executive Committee, Valentina Vysotskaya, told a BELTA correspondent. According to her, a letter of intent for the construction will be signed in November. The "Lazienki" health resort complex for 300-400 people will be located in a picturesque place in the village of Vidzy-Lovchinskie. During the Tsarist Russia period, a famous sanatorium for the nobility operated in this area. Such famous personalities as Adam Mickiewicz and Grand Duke Mikhail, brother of Alexander I, rested here. The site features a manor house from the late 18th century and an ancient park, which has preserved 38 species of trees rare for Belarus. In close proximity to the future health resort complex, there is also a source of valuable mineral waters and deposits of hydrosulfide sapropels from lakes Lazienki and Chornoye. The investors plan to use them for balneological procedures. In addition, the future owners plan to equip a beach on a nearby lake for their guests. The project of the facility is currently under development. Its more precise characteristics, construction timelines, and payback period will be determined soon with the arrival of the investors, Valentina Vysotskaya added. -0-
