Laureate of the Special Prize of the President of Belarus Lev Leshchenko is today a beneficiary at the Summer Amphitheatre
July 17, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. Lev Leshchenko, the laureate of the special prize of the President of Belarus "Through Art - to Peace and Mutual Understanding" at the XXI International Festival of Arts "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk", will be the beneficiary of this evening's concert at the Summer Amphitheater, BELTA was informed by the festival directorate.
The gala concert of the People's Artist of Russia will bring together a truly stellar constellation of artists from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, and Moldova: Ruslan Alekhno, Alsou, Nadezhda Babkina and the ensemble "Russkaya Pesnya", Oksana Bogoslovskaya, Varvara, the beneficiary's best friend Vladimir Vinokur, Maxim Dunaevsky, Lolita, Alexander Marshal, Yana Melikaeva, Sofia Onopchenko, Soso Pavliashvili, Rustam Shtark, Igor Luchenok, Anatoly Yarmolenko, the ballroom dancing ensemble "Fest", the pop song studio "Forum", Konstantin Moskovich, Nikolai Gnatyuk, Potap and Nastya will perform at the concert. The owner of the star named after him in Vitebsk will also delight the audience with his best compositions. The "Star Hour" with Lev Leshchenko at the International Press Center will undoubtedly be a sold-out event.
The day's packed program also includes a concert "To Bright Tears" by Maria Numova (Latvia) at the Vitebsk Regional Philharmonic, and an evening of humor by Vladimir Vinokur's parody theater, which will take place at the Summer Amphitheater.
The tragicomedy "Baba Chanel" by the Moscow Theater on the Southwest (Russia) will continue the "Theatrical Meetings-2012" at the Yanka Kupala National Academic Drama Theater. The feature film "House of the Wind" (Russia) will conclude the XXI festival's film project at 6:00 PM at the House of Cinema. The film's director, Vyacheslav Zlatopolsky, will introduce the audience to the story of its creation. The poignant drama tells the story of Taisiya Levshina, a janitor at a children's infectious disease hospital, who learns that her son, who went missing at the southern border about ten years ago, actually died. To fill the painful void in her soul, Taya takes a seven-year-old Asian boy, Timur, from the hospital, who, according to all diagnoses and medical indications, is doomed to a swift departure. This is a story about how selfless love lifts a microscopic human being from hardship and adversity to the level of ancient grandeur, a direct conversation with God, and, rejecting all the laws of a too material world, creates a Miracle, preserving a new life.
The second competitive performance of the participants of the X International Children's Music Competition "Vitebsk-2012" will take place today at the "Vitebsk" concert hall. The contestants will have to perform a pop song of their choice that best reflects their performing skills and artistic abilities. It should be noted that the children's music competition is held to a full house: on the first competitive day, which took place yesterday, all seats in the auditorium were filled. Traditionally, to avoid upsetting the young artists, the jury members do not publicly announce their scores for the contestants and comment on their work very diplomatically. Therefore, unlike the adult competition, there is real intrigue in this competition. The best barometer of the success of the performances here is the attentive and grateful audience. The "People's Jury" consists of almost equal proportions of adults and children, which increases the fairness of the evaluations expressed through applause.
Thus, the first to receive a storm of audience emotions and flowers from young fans was Polianna Ryzhak from Ukraine, who took the stage seventh. Her a cappella introduction to the composition looked very advantageous, and the dynamic continuation that followed was reminiscent of Ruslana's "Wild Dances." The bright performances of songs by participants from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Montenegro, Macedonia, and Israel were also accompanied by applause. Ukrainian Valeria Khomenko, Russian Aigul Valiullina, Ana Jovancic from Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Belarusian representative Liza Muravyova performed strongly. Our second participant, Evgenia Klepitskaya, also represented the country with dignity. -0-
