9 enterprises from the Vitebsk region became laureates of the "Best Exporter of the Year 2021" competition
As noted by the Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee Alexander Subbotin, the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry is one of the main mechanisms for ensuring the effective operation of the region's industrial complex.
— In fact, it is an informal diplomatic organization that helps to find new contacts, open new markets, including the Belarusian market for foreign partners. Although this work is not always visible, it is impossible to develop and increase exports without it, — emphasized the head of the region.
According to Natalia Vorobyova, General Director of the Vitebsk branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the enterprise organizes various foreign economic events for this purpose. Over the past three years alone, it has held about 160 events of different formats and content, including more than 60 of them held online. During this time, 9 agreements and memorandums of cooperation have been signed with partner organizations from other countries, which contributes to expanding opportunities for promoting the export potential of domestic producers. Responding to the requests of businesses operating in challenging foreign economic conditions, the Vitebsk branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry provides a wide range of services in 10 areas on a one-stop-shop principle.
Today, organizations that are members of the Vitebsk branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry account for 84% of the annual industrial production volume and 87% of the exports of the Vitebsk region. Over the past three years, more than 50 organizations, mainly small businesses, have joined it.
The main task for the BelCCI in the current conditions is to assist businesses in entering new markets, emphasized the head of the chamber, Mikhail Miatlikov. For this purpose, exhibition events are planned with a focus on far-arc countries, including Latin America, Africa, and Southeast Asia. The BelCCI has also launched new training programs designed to help companies master specific foreign markets.
At the close of the meeting, participants elected delegates from the region to the XII Congress of the BelCCI and honored the laureates of the republican competition "Best Exporter of 2021," which included open joint-stock companies "Naftan," "Invet," "Vityaz," "Vitebskiye Kovry," LLC "KimaBEL," UP "Orshanskaya Poultry Farm," and LLC "Mona Sharm." Two winners of the competition, LLC "PO Energokomplekt" and OJSC "Vitebsk MEZ," received their awards in Minsk.
