Flax will be the main focus of the October investment forum in the Vitebsk region

Flax will be the main theme of the October investment forum, which will be held in the Vitebsk region on October 15-16, Konstantin Cherny, Deputy Chairman of the Economics Committee of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, told a BELTA correspondent. The organizer of the investment forum, the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, together with the Orsha Flax Mill and garment factories, is preparing the "Vitebsk Flax" exhibition-fair-show for the forum participants and guests. Collections of products made from linen fabrics will be exhibited here, and modern technologies for flax production and processing, as well as garment manufacturing, will be demonstrated. Proposals from enterprises of the region aimed at creating new jobs and enterprises in small towns and rural areas will also be presented to businessmen for consideration. A significant part of the projects involves the production of import-substituting and innovative products, the use of secondary and local resources, renewable energy sources, and the development of tourism and recreation infrastructure, as well as roadside services. In addition to the exhibition and presentation of investment proposals, businessmen will be able to get acquainted with the region's enterprises and see the sites intended for the implementation of business proposals. This year, two investment forums have already been held in the region - in March and July. The most significant projects for the region were presented at these forums, and agreements totaling over $350 million were concluded. -0-
