Leonid Anfimov sees promising cooperation between MAZ and Vitebsk Elevators
"Having looked at this enterprise and a number of others that produce good products in demand not only in the domestic market but also abroad, I want to say that before going to look for an investor overseas, let's look around us and see if this investor might be nearby. I believe that we should first and foremost support our own investors, our own businessmen," said Leonid Anfimov. "With support, this enterprise will develop production that we will be proud of later."
"Vitebsk Elevators" needs support in resolving some problematic issues, which were discussed during the visit. "This primarily concerns working through the dealer networks of our MAZ. It is a pity when I see that the equipment of this enterprise is installed here on chassis of mainly Russian-made vehicles. For some reason, MAZ vehicles are not present," expressed the Chairman of the SCC with bewilderment. He emphasized that such cooperation between domestic manufacturers of elevators and trucks could be very promising. "A lot of machines are produced here, and at least half of them could be produced on the basis of our MAZ vehicles. Moreover, "Vitebsk Elevators" has established constructive cooperation with the Minsk Tractor Works. Perhaps this is not entirely within their scope, but nevertheless, using the base of our tractor, they have created a good multi-purpose machine. It can function as both an elevator and a drilling rig," stated Leonid Anfimov.
"MAZ should think about how to market its products in conjunction with the equipment being developed and produced in Vitebsk. And perhaps this will help the Minsk Automobile Plant increase its production and sales volumes," noted the head of the control department.
Returning to the problems of "Vitebsk"lifts", Leonid Anfimov emphasized that the enterprise needs assistance in resolving issues related to its operations with Russia. "This includes, for example, the refund of the recycling fee and a number of other problems. They will be formulated by the enterprise's management, and the State Control Committee will assist in resolving them within its duties and powers," he added. Private enterprise "Machine-building company "Vitebskiye lifti" and Private Unitary Enterprise "Vitstroytekhmash" are machine-building enterprises belonging to the same founder. Through cooperation, they carry out the production and sale of lifting and transport equipment under their own brands VIPO and "Dvina".
The products are exported to Russia, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Latvia, and other countries. Leonid Anfimov also visited the fields of OJSC "Rudakovo" today, where he inspected the progress of fodder harvesting. In the first half of the day, the Chairman of the State Control Committee participated in a meeting of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee. The agenda included issues of attracting investments, increasing the efficiency of industrial enterprises and transport.
