Leonid Anfimov: Bringing the Orsha District to a New Quality Level is a Strategic Goal
Raising the Orsha District to a qualitatively new level is a strategic goal. This was stated today to journalists by the Chairman of the Committee of State Control, Leonid Anfimov.
"One of the current tasks is the fulfillment of the President's instructions, which were given during working trips to the Orsha District. The Presidential Administration, the Presidential Affairs Directorate, and the Committee of State Control are assigned a leading role here," said Leonid Anfimov. "A strategic goal has been set - the development of the region, bringing it to a qualitatively new level."
Today, the committee is reviewing the results of the department's work for the first half of the year and defining tasks for the second half. This includes control over the execution of republican and local budgets, the use of state property, the implementation of key investment and innovation projects, the progress of enterprise modernization, and compliance with legislation in the sphere of state procurement, and so on.
"Detailed control and analysis of the spending of significant budget funds allocated for capital repairs and construction, equipment procurement, and investment activities are needed," emphasized Leonid Anfimov. "For example, a business entity works with budget funds, utilizes them in full, and there are no violations. But the most important thing is whether the goal for which the funds were allocated has been achieved, and how effectively the enterprise operates after the implementation of the investment project."
For the second half of the year, an analysis of the use of funds allocated for organizing children's health improvement, the effectiveness of the distribution network of Belarusian enterprises abroad, and an audit of the performance of JSC "Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange" are planned.
An analysis of the fulfillment of the President's instructions on the implementation of best practices in corporate governance at 10 enterprises in the country will be carried out.
