Forests throughout the Vitebsk region are once again open for visits

Visiting forests in the Vitebsk region is allowed again - the established weather conditions have reduced the fire hazard class, the regional Emergency Situations Ministry department reported.

As previously reported, at the beginning of the month, due to an increase in the fire hazard class in the Vitebsk, Dubrovno, and Orsha districts of the region, decisions were made to prohibit forest visits. "Considering the weather conditions, heavy rains, the hazard class has decreased, and the ban on visiting forests has been lifted. According to the Vitebsk State Production Forestry Association, as of July 12, the local authorities of all three districts made the relevant decisions," specialists explained. At the same time, the Ministry of Emergency Situations noted that one should not forget the rules of recreation and behavior in forests: fires can only be made in designated areas. Violation is punishable by a warning or a fine of up to 12 basic units. After recreation, the fire must be covered with earth or doused with water. It is forbidden to throw unextinguished matches and cigarette butts, leave rags soaked in gasoline or oil, garbage, or refuel a car in the forest with the engine running.

It is forbidden to drive on all forest roads (except for public roads passing through forest areas) and to independently open lowered barriers at forest entrances.
