Vitebsk region forestry enterprises will offer New Year's bouquets and blue spruces in tubs

December 2, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. Christmas tree markets will start operating in the Vitebsk region from December 19. This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by Oleg Gritskevich, a leading engineer for auxiliary forest use and subsidiary agriculture of the Vitebsk Regional Forestry Association. In the regional center, 17 trading points have already been identified, and one in each district center. Residents of large villages and settlements will not have to travel far for a forest beauty. Mobile sales will be held in these settlements. In total, this year the forestry enterprises of the Vitebsk region intend to sell 50 thousand fir trees, which is 10 thousand more than last year. The planned revenue is estimated at about Br300 million. The cost of the main attribute of the New Year's holiday will average Br8 thousand - Br10 thousand. At the same time, in the forestries that will operate on pre-holiday days and weekends, they can be purchased cheaper (without trade markups). Large-scale Christmas tree sales, along with industrial and food products, are planned in Vitebsk for December 24 and 30. In addition to traditional green fir trees, New Year's bouquets of pine and fir branches with cones will be offered to buyers at the markets. Their cost will be about Br2 thousand. This offer from the forestry enterprises is due to last year's demand, the interlocutor noted. An alternative to artificial Christmas trees has also been found. They can be quite replaced by blue spruces in tubs, which will be brought by the Glubokoye Experimental Forestry. Elite forest beauties will bring a real festive atmosphere into the home, will not shed needles, and can quite tolerably spend the winter on the balcony until spring planting. On the first day of the Christmas tree markets, raid groups of forestry enterprises will also start their service. Unauthorized tree felling will be strictly controlled in all forestries until the holiday itself, Oleg Gritskevich emphasized. -0-
